Our Philosophy

NELS is a public charter high school designed with a specific mission. C&CA caters to students who are interested in the field of Construction Craft Technology, those who are interested in our World of Work program, Credit Recovery or Post-secondary College options. We are part of the Cranston Public School system and are accountable to the same federal and state regulations and standards as other public high schools.

The Construction & Career Academy is open to all Rhode Island students. We have the capacity to serve fewer than 200 students in grades 9-12. Students apply and are chosen through a blind lottery each year in March. Student enrollment and student/teacher ratio are kept low in order to give the most personalized educational experience possible.
