As the end of the school year approaches, RIDE is gearing up for our Summer Meals Program and we need your help.

During the school year, nearly 76,000 Rhode Island students receive meals daily through the National School Lunch Program. In the summer months, those students and many more are at risk of going hungry.

We served more than 467,000 meals last summer. I'm reaching out today to ask you to help us increase that number and expand access to healthy meals year-round by posting the enclosed information on your website and sharing it with your school communities. If you could please disseminate information on Summer Meals through your newsletters, parent outreach, social media, and across all of your networks, you will help us reach a record number of Rhode Island students this summer.

If you have any questions or need more information on how you can support the Summer Meals Program, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time. I can be reached via email or by calling (401)207-3490.

Thank you for helping us build "Healthy Kids, Healthy, Healthy communities for a Healthy Rhode Island."

Sincerely,

-Azade
